SEF Round 5

Kwantu for SEF Round 5

What SIP teams need to know about Kwantu setup, reporting templates, Localities and API-based reporting for SEF Round 5.

Last updated About 23 hours ago

Kwantu remains part of the official SEF Round 5 reporting process. SIP teams complete the required programme setup and reporting structure in Kwantu, whether they capture data directly in Kwantu or use another supported collection route.

What SIPs configure in Kwantu

For Round 5, the main setup includes:

  • Sites & Localities — confirm the active reporting structure and who manages each Site or Locality.
  • Partner details — add the relevant organisation and contact details where a Partner manages the work.
  • Reporting Templates — define which indicators each type of Locality must report, including the reporting frequency, section, order, guidance and periodic/cumulative basis.
  • Template-to-Locality links — link the correct Reporting Template to each reporting Locality.

Reporting through the API

Where an external collection system is used, the relevant Locality can be configured for Via Server API. The reporting system then uses the Kwantu identifiers for the Locality, Reporting Template and report questions to submit the required reporting packet.

Each reporting packet contains the full current set of required report items for that Locality and template. Supporting evidence can also be linked to the relevant report item where the integration supports it.

Language and official reporting

Official SEF reporting remains in English. SIPs can still use operational tools and support processes to make field collection easier, but the final information submitted into the official reporting process must meet the required reporting standard.

Using QuickTrack with Kwantu

If your SIP chooses to use QuickTrack, complete the required Kwantu setup first. Brownie Points can then use that existing structure to configure the QuickTrack workspace and the agreed reporting integration.
